work happier, not harder

if you could spend your 90,000 hours (on average) at work in a lifetime happier, would you want to know how?

Our culture teaches us that if we just work harder, longer hours, put in more effort and experience more STRESS, we’ll be successful and eventually HAPPY.

Significant research into success and happiness are CONCLUSIVE that this is absolutely backwards (and actually a bit delusional!) This mindset ends up creating overwhelm, stress, sleeplessness, illness and burnout.

If you truly want your organization to be successful, it must start with happy and healthy employees.

We might even say that the well-being of your employees = the well-being of your business.

The good news? Happier employees have a huge positive effect on the bottom line… just ask yourself: who will treat your clients better - an unhappy employee or a happy one? Which employee will be more loyal to you? Which will be more pleasant to work with and cause you less headaches?

Even when it seems like it’s out of our control, there are simple techniques we can use to change the way we experience work and the seemingly ever increasing stress.

In this interactive presentation, Trish will teach simple, effective techniques to use NOW for more positivity and energy, less stress and burnout and overall better results at work. You’ll focus on small daily changes that make a big impact on our day to day stress in an environment where it may seem impossible.

This session is designed for anyone who wants to work happier and not harder - specifically folks in high stress and demanding industries (healthcare, first responders, sales teams, law and finance, even students on their way to the workforce soon!)

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Embody mindfulness: Go beyond the buzzword to infuse it into your life in small, impactful ways for more happiness and fulfillment.

  • Strengthen resilience to stress:

    • Learn mindfulness techniques to reduce stress at work (one workplace study saw and average of 28% less stress in participants).

    • Practice a technique to reduce moments of “resource depletion” that make us susceptible to self-destructive behaviors

  • Let go of the stressor multitasking: Understand how mindfulness can create better focus and productivity so you can let go of multitasking.

  • Develop a conscious stress management strategy: Take a look at the reality of stress and its negative effects and create a strategy to address it.

  • Redefine success: Re-consider our culture’s narrow definition of success and our “I’m too busy” narrative and how it might be causing harm to our wellbeing.

  • Be inspired to take small daily actions to work happier, setting you and your team up to THRIVE.
